Hi, my name is Jessie McFadyen. I’ve been working with fur since the year 2000. It all started when my husband, John, bought a Muskrat coat for $10.00 at a yard sale.

I wasn’t quite sure what we were going to do with it, but shortly after, I had warmer feet thanks to slippers my husband made for me. It wasn’t long before the hobby got way out of control and I discovered that I really loved taking a coat and visualizing it made into other things.

I found I couldn’t sleep nights thinking of what I could make next. I always have a pen  and paper handy, I never know when a new idea will come to me.

My business quickly took over our house (living room and both spare rooms), and the fur was literally flying. We had our business in the house for 4 1/2 years and then in 2008, we built our wonderful shop.

And so the journey continues...
